About
The Depot on Main
The old railroad freight depot located on South Main Street in Washington Court House, built in the mid-late 1800s is now home to a truly unique, one-of-a-kind event space. Nathan and Rachel Conn (owner of Rachel’s House Catering) purchased the property in 2022 and began preserving, updating and enhancing the space.
The main seating area comfortably accommodates 100 guests (seated, round tables). Original hardwood floors, brick surround and gorgeous exposed rafters are accented with beautiful lighting options and natural light. For business use, enjoy access to our wireless projector screen (projector not provided). Wireless speaker system throughout the facility for easy communication with your group, music, etc. The back of the building houses ADA men’s and women’s restrooms and a catering kitchen. The original freight scales make for a beautiful photo background.
The Small Details
After we were unable to preserve the original freight dock on the rail-loading side of the building, we decided to recreate and expand! The outdoor space now boasts a 100’x20’ concrete, timber stamped deck area with beautiful views of our on-site greenspace, all while overlooking the downtown Washington Court House mural and historic downtown buildings. Speaker system is throughout the outdoor space as well to add ambiance to your event and communicate announcements about what is happening on the inside. Relax on the patio furniture and cheer on your corn hole gamers!
We are so excited to share this space with our community and beyond! Please know that when you inquire or book, you will be working with us directly. We are a family-run business and will do our best to make your special event beautiful, memorable and relaxed.
(10) 72” round tables to accommodate up to 10 guests each and 100 almond premium folding resin chairs are complementary with the rental. Alternative chairs available for formal gatherings.
